It's been noticed in past releases [0] and now again in Beryllium SR2
release effort [1] that the distributions we get with autorelease seem
to behave a little differently.
One concrete example is that current Beryllium autorelease distributions
seem to come up much slower. One easy way to visualize this is with
our "offline-beryllium" job buildTime graph [2]. All of the builds that
take ~8m are coming from autorelease. The other builds in the ~3m time
frame are from our snapshot distributions.
There is no good theory as to why this is happening yet, as the assumption
is that the build process is the same for both snapshot and autorelease
distros. But, obviously something is happening.
