MD-SAL simple app archetype does not allow parametrization of yang namespace

The configuration subsystem does not allow two yang models with the same namespace. The MD-SAL simple app archetype generates code with the same namespace every time. This creates a problem if you generate two separate applications that you want to run at the same time in the controller. It would be nice if the yang model namespace was a parameter that could be set prior to code generation.
