ALTO Oxygen Release details

In Oxygen Release, the ALTO Project will introduce two useful experimental features:

• A path manager module (alto-pathmanager) is now available. It provides a unified interface for web UI to demonstrate existing paths in the network. Currently, the end-to-end paths installed by the ALTO simple Path Computation Engine (alto-simple-pce) are automatically added to this path manager module.

• A bandwidth monitor module (alto-bwmonitor) is now available. It monitors the real-time available bandwidth of each link and records the changes for easy retrieval.

Combining these new features with the ALTO simple Path Computation Engine, one would be able to get real-time feedback on the potential performance of the existing paths and build QoS-aware applications.
