TSDR Oxygen Release Details

Time Series Data Repository (TSDR) continues to offer time series data collection, storage and retrieval features for Opendaylight in the Oxygen release.  TSDR contains collectors for protocols OpenFlow, NetFlow, SNMP, REST requests and gathers metrics from ODL controllers and syslog.  TSDR has embedded support for HSQLDB, HBase, Cassandra and ElasticSearch.  TSDR enables external data to be inserted in these data stores.  Data is retrieved through the ODL REST interface, API or via an ELK stack.  TSDR also supports data visualization through Grafana integration via TSDR Northbound REST APIs.

The bulk of TSDR development in Oxygen revolved around the framework upgrades including support for Karaf 4, Maven 3.5 and ODLParent 2.  We also addressed code defects due to project entropy.  We plan on improving the TSDR feature set in the Flourine release.
