    Description

      We could reduce the number of implementations of individual methods across the various ModificationApplyOperation by having a baseline DelegatingModificationApplyOperation, which provides implementations which do not typically end up being overridden.

      This will reduce the number of the number of implementations we have for individual methods, allowing HotSpot to optimize better.
