Considering aaa's Jenkins jobs are pretty standard and follows the standard job templates. I'd like to recommend that aaa move their jobs to JJB over on the releng Jenkins silo. Advantages would be that using the standard templates on the Releng silo would mean your jobs get the benefit of updates and tweaks from all jobs that use the same template and ease your maintenance on the jobs. Also the Releng silo has dynamic build slaves allowing you to run multiple jobs simultaneously more easily. Instructions on how this can be done can be found in the README for releng-builder. It is nicely formatted on GitHub [1] but the repo can be cloned from Gerrit here [2]. A committer on the aaa would need to submit a Gerrit patch to the releng/builder repo [2]. Once merged you'll want to disable your jobs on the aaa jenkins silo. More details on the releng builder repo can be found on our wiki page at [3]. Let me know if I can help get this going in anyway. I have setup the tests jobs on the sandbox server and am working with the AAA team to move to production. |
