Currently we store largish objects (ByteString) in the RAftActor's in-memory journal. This takes up a lot of memory resulting in snapshotting getting triggered often and resulting in garbage collection. We need to minimize the amount of data that we store in the in-memory journal to be more memory efficient. Possibly flush the data in the journal to disk if necessary. |
