 Description

There are discussions for other additional OOB settings that we should add to the run.sh and run.bat files.

They are:

-XX:+HeapDumpOnOutOfMemoryError --> This will create a .hprof when the controller crashes with an out of memory error. Otherwise it has no overhead.

  • There is an additional setting that defines where the .hprof files are generated if a failure occurs.

-XX:MaxPermSize=512m

There have been discussions of having to constantly increase the max perm size.

ODLPARENT-1 is requesting that the script accept additional parameters other than just -D and -X params. Consider solving that at the same time.

Lithium and Helium is Karaf based and run.sh was deprecated there.
