The vast majority of files use UNIX style line endings but I found some files with Windows style line endings. Examples of files with Windows style line endings seen so far are (in ec7cac6937): features/adsal-compatibility/pom.xml |

One solution to this problem that I found is: Add ".gitattributes" file to the root of the repository. According to Git documentation, this file allows a repository to configure end of line handling independently of whether the new user did this configuration or not. This would prevent users from pushing files with inconsistent line ending style because of them forgetting to tell Git to canonize these. Additionally, Windows users should now be able to see proper end of lines on the files without taking special preparations first. |
