Because these addresses are not maskable, they cannot be used for longest prefix matches. For instance, if a segment address [iid=1, prefix=192.168.1.0/24] is stored in the dao, it cannot be matched by a lookup address [iid=1, prefix=192.168.1.100/32]. |
