 Description

BGP-LS Performance Metric Extensions are supported in linkstate routes, but are missing in linkstate topology.

Adding the support of such metrics in linkstate topology required first to update the corresponding ietf topology yang model

odd22 I am not sure I follow. ietf-topology has been superseded by ietf-network and ietf-network-topology. MD-SAL is shipping those models for quite some time node.

We consider the draft versions (ietf-topology, ietf-topology-isis, ietf-ted, ietf-topology-ospf, ietf-topology-l3-unicast-igp) as legacy and will not be updating them. If a downstream project is interested in evolving them, it should package them themselves, removing dependency on mdsal-provided versions. Once all downstreams have shifted from them, we will delete them from MD-SAL.

Make sense. I will copy the model from md-sal under the BGPCEP tree and update it within the BGPCEP-883.

We'll not do this in MDSAL, but rather in BGPCEP.
