The FIP to FIP traffic fails when the translation happens on a remote switch. As now we take into account the provider mappings the FIP translation can happen in NAPT switch. When it happens the return traffic send to the vxlan tunnel is dropped. Spawn two vm in a compute which does not have provider mapping for external n/w. Associate FIP with both the vms and try to ping one from another |
