 Description

Using OpenStack Newton and OpenDaylight Boron.

Running on one instance:
$ ncat --sctp -l -p 132 > out.tgz

And on the other:
$ tar -zc ~ | ncat --sctp 192.168.88.4 132 (192.168.88.4 is the first instance).

Fails on timeout.

Seems that the packets are marked as invalid and dropped

The egress packet is send to the netfilter by aclservice. Netfilter marks the packet as invalid and is subsequently dropped by the invalid drop flow.

This issue was due to the missing module ip_conntrack_proto_sctp. Should work once the module is loaded.

Comment by Itzik Brown [ 13/Feb/17 ]

Loading the ip_conntrack_proto_sctp solves the problem.
