Setup:
ODL: Cluster node
Openstack version: Ocata
1 control and 2 compute nodes

Observation:

  • If setup is left idle for 2 hours, and VM IP is not assigned.
  • Flows are not installed in the dump-flows.

Steps

  • Create a network and VM1
  • Check for the dump-flows and OVS-show for expected results.
  • Leave the setup idle for 10-12 hours.
  • Create a VM2 for the existing network.
  • Check whether the VM2 got IP and relevant flows are installed.

Observation:

  • VM2 IP is not assigned
  • Flows are not installed in the dump-flows.

The problem is not recreated in sandbox.

Tested with nitrogen and pike version. Issue has not been reproduced.
