http://www.scala-lang.org/news/2.12.0 and is supported by akka-2.4.12. Upgrading will allow us to have lower run-time overhead as Scala 2.12 takes advantages of Java 7&8 features.

Which means we need to upgrade karaf first.

Karaf4 is not completed, we cannot make this in Carbon.
