Netty features a custom epoll(7)-based channel support. This is only available on Linux, but can potentially increase performance. Add the code needed to take advantage of it if available for successful use – this may entail som run-time testing, which should be done once for the lifetime of the JDK. There needs to be an option to disable it, too (for debugging purposes). |
