In a three node odl cluster, when DPN are spread across all the 3 nodes. When the node comes back, the DPN is not distributed back to the node. Consider a scenario, where we have 90 DPNs. All 90 DPNs are distributed across 3 node (each having 30 dpn). And we have given OF HA for the all the dpn connected to all the nodes. When one of the node went down, the 30 dpn connected under this node will be distributed to the other 2 nodes. So, it will be approximately 45 each. When the node comes back, the DPN won't redistribute back. This node will remain idle. We need a mechanism from Openflowplugin to distribute the DPNs by switching the master connection to the node where less number of DPNs are there. |
