Desired nodes are not filtered from underlay topology. Overlay topology is empty, including only topology-id element. |

Both input model and output model are set to Inventory model. |

Inventory does not have notion of multiple versions - which means filtering from inventory to inventory will not result in nodes removed from inventory. Does this occur only in inventory-to-inventory case? If this does not occurs in topology-to-topology, inventory-to-topology, topology-to-inventory I would suggest closing it as RESOLVED - INVALID, since you are reading and exporting to same instance of model - which logicly means nodes supposed to be filtered out will be still there. |

When input model of underlay topology is set as inventory model the overlay topology contains only topology-id element. New overlay topology is always created but does not contain any nodes. This applies to invetory-to-inventory, invetory-to-topology. Topology-to-topology and topology-to-inventory work fine. |

Also to clarify terminology, when we write inventory-to-inventory, it means that undelray topology is from inventory model, and new overlay topology will be also from inventory model. When we write inventory-to-topology, it means that underlay topology is from inventory model and new overlay topology will be from network-topology model, etc. |
