Hi Hema,

I am working on the Sodium release outbound messaging.

I notice the Genius project is getting enhanced with new feature, OF tunnels and improving debug and incorporating bug fixes. Could you please help with the following requests?

  1. Please confirm whether the list of additions is still valid.
  2. Please elaborate on the specific benefits for end-users, system integrators and/or other community projects in terms of performance, scale and/or functionality, reliability and interoperability.
  3. I would be happy to review any additional documentation you can point me to on these additions.

Best regards,

Komer

We have delivered all of the planned activities for Genius Sodium release:

1. New Features OF Tunnels

This improvement of using flow based tunnels as against port based tunnels is expected to increase the number of switches that can be supported by Internal Tunnel Mesh (ITM). We are yet to test to see how many switches can be supported.

2. ITM Clean Up The is mainly to clean up dead code and to clean up the used fields from the Yang. There is no functional impact of this task.

3. ITM Auto Tunnels Enhancements This task is to bring some enhancements in auto tunnel feature. There is visible change for the end user.Improving

4. Debug-ability  This task helps in better debugging by adding more event logs.

5. Bug Fixes Some significant bug fixes and gerrit reviews for the same are provided.

Please find the gerrit reviews.
