 Description

This release plan documents what will be produced in Flourine including mandatory upgrades.

We anticipate some new development but remain uncommitted due to resource constraints.

First and foremost there will be code improvement and CSIT/FT/BUG test fixes.

TSDR-34 Oxygen CSIT failures

TSDR-30 Karaf commands are incorrect in documentation camelcase

TSDR-10 Restart of Hbase server does not connected back to controller.

TSDR-38 Update documentation

This work may or may not be required.

TSDR-26 Upgrade Jersey from 1.X to 2.X

TSDR-37 Upgrade Guava because of Jersey 2.x dependency

There may be some mandatory upgrades, if other projects upgrade.

And the version bumps.

Hi scottmelton/TSDR,

If you want to be considered for the managed release, please also submit your Jira following this
template It's fine to remain unmanaged as well. I just noticed this Jira was in my filter to look at
projects asking to be

ODL New Participation: SNAPSHOT_Integrated (Managed)

Thanks.

I'm moving this to Unmanaged unless TSDR applies to be Managed.

Thanks JamO, Daniel.  TSDR submitted a request to be managed, TSC-68.

For Flourine, we plan to fix the problems and implement at least one project on TSDR/ODL as a part of my and other students Engineering PhD in Security at UCCS.  We have used ODL/TSDR in a couple of papers in the last year and hope to make at least one more published contribution using ODL/TSDR as the primary platform.

I believe we have sufficient resources to accomplish this and participate as an ODL managed project in Flourine.  Please consider our humble request.

scottmelton Okay, thanks for pointing that out. It's using the wrong Jira issue type, so it's not showing up in our filters. Please follow these docs and/or look at an example to sort that out.

Hey scottmelton, are you going to be able to cut the dependency on SNMP? That is going to be an issue when we discuss the promotion to managed.

Comment by Scott Melton [ 30/Mar/18 ]

Missed this.  Yes, we are at a minimum removing SNMP as a dependency.

If we have time, we have other options like pulling SNMP into a TSDR collector.  Or if other projects have an interest in SNMP then maybe TSDR can find the time to support it, but likely not in Flourine giving the limitation on applying to be managed.  I think I volunteered at one time to support SNMP but I recall slipping into the shadows when it was time to do the work.
