 Description   

We need a maven plugin, which will synthetize YANG definitions from a SMIv2 MIB file, according to the process set out in RFC6643 (http://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc6643).

RFC6643 is referencing

  • RFC2578 - Structure of Management Information Version 2 (SMIv2) - referencing
    Abstract Syntax Notation One (several documents)
  • RFC2579 - Textual Conventions for SMIv2
  • RFC2580 - Conformance Statements for SMIv2

I think it is out my current possibilities.

This should be implemented as a dedicated SchemaSourceRepresentation (to hold the SMIv2 text) and a SchemaSourceTransformer, which outputs a YangTextSchemaSource.
