[CONTROLLER-525] Update Toaster and Kitchen Service to use best practices

Toaster and Kitchen Services are one of the first places when
we point newcomers and we need to make sure
that this code will introduce them also to best practices
and probably not antipatterns.

Use JDKFuturesAdapters, Futures.trasform and asynchronous APIs
if possible, to showcase full potential of asynchronous programming.
