https://jira.opendaylight.org This file is an XML representation of an issue en-us 8.20.10 820010 22-06-2022 https://jira.opendaylight.org/browse/INFRAUTILS-48 infrautils <p>Looking over <a href="https://jira.opendaylight.org/secure/ViewProfile.jspa?name=trozet" class="user-hover" rel="trozet">trozet</a>'s <a href="https://jira.opendaylight.org/browse/INFRAUTILS-47" title="diagstatus HTTP GET differs in response to HTTP HEAD" class="issue-link" data-issue-key="INFRAUTILS-47"><del>INFRAUTILS-47</del></a>, I'm finding it would be very useful to have details in a <tt>GET /diagstatus/</tt> in case of a <tt>"systemReadyState": "FAILURE"</tt> ... somewhat similar to <a href="https://jira.opendaylight.org/secure/ViewProfile.jspa?name=jluhrsen" class="user-hover" rel="jluhrsen">jluhrsen</a>'s work in <a href="https://jira.opendaylight.org/browse/INFRAUTILS-31" title="diagstatus including cause of failures" class="issue-link" data-issue-key="INFRAUTILS-31"><del>INFRAUTILS-31</del></a> where we added an <tt>errorCause</tt> for each service (if available), it would really make sense to have an additional field named e.g. <tt>systemReadyStateErrorCause</tt> (OK for everyone?) which tells us WHY we are in a failed system ready state - without having to dig through a karaf.log.</p> <p>This should be relatively easy to implement - <tt>SystemReadyMonitorMXBean</tt> should have not only an <tt>SystemState getSystemState()</tt> but also a <tt>Throwable getFailureCause()</tt> method, which <tt>SystemReadyImpl</tt> could provide, and <tt>DiagStatusServiceImpl</tt> could stick into the JSON (just like in <a href="https://jira.opendaylight.org/browse/INFRAUTILS-31" title="diagstatus including cause of failures" class="issue-link" data-issue-key="INFRAUTILS-31"><del>INFRAUTILS-31</del></a>).</p> <p><a href="https://jira.opendaylight.org/secure/ViewProfile.jspa?name=k.faseela" class="user-hover" rel="k.faseela">k.faseela</a> you certainly would have no objections if I implemented this?</p> INFRAUTILS-48
