For one, it's not possible to install directly from a URL (the equivalent of `dnf install -y &lt;url to RPM&gt;` with apt). Need something like</p> <p>&gt; curl -o opendaylight_5.0.0-1_all.deb <a href="http://ftp.gwdg.de/pub/opensuse/repositories/home:/akshitajha/xUbuntu_16.04/all/opendaylight_5.0.0-1_all.deb" class="external-link" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">http://ftp.gwdg.de/pub/opensuse/repositories/home:/akshitajha/xUbuntu_16.04/all/opendaylight_5.0.0-1_all.deb</a> &amp;&amp; dpkg --install ./opendaylight_5.0.0-1_all.deb</p> <p>There are other problems with dependencies after that's fixed.
