It is also a thread-safety nightmare, which is better done at higher layers.</p> <p>This has a tie-in with <a href="https://jira.opendaylight.org/browse/NETCONF-925" title="Rework optional reconnect logic" class="issue-link" data-issue-key="NETCONF-925">NETCONF-925</a>, which also wants to reconnect things.</p> NETCONF-1070
