A quick look at the tar reveals that there are Karaf-specific feature.xmls, which clearly have no purpose in odlmicro. Also there is a number of OSGi bundles, like osgi-cmpn, which serve no function and a pure bloat. Fix packaging so that it pulls in only things that have a justification for being pulled in.
