https://jira.opendaylight.org This file is an XML representation of an issue en-us 8.20.10 820010 22-06-2022 https://jira.opendaylight.org/browse/TSC-26 tsc <p>The <b>OVSDB</b> project is a project for OpenDaylight that provides southbound plugin to manage OVS devices.</p> <p>The OVSDB project comprises two major pieces of functionality:</p> <ol> <li><b>OVSDB Southbound Plugin</b> : This plugins allows user to manage OVS device that that supports the <a href="http://openvswitch.org/ovs-vswitchd.conf.db.5.pdf" class="external-link" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">OVSDB schema</a> and supports the <a href="https://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc7047" class="external-link" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">OVSDB management protocol</a>.</li> </ol> <ol> <li><b>OVSDB Hardware vTep Plugin</b> : This plugin handle the OVS device that supports the <a href="http://openvswitch.org/docs/vtep.5.pdf" class="external-link" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">OVSDB Hardware vTep schema</a> and supports the <a href="https://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc7047" class="external-link" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">OVSDB management protocol</a>.</li> </ol> <p>During Oxygen cycle following improvements were done:</p> <ol> <li>odl-ovsdb-utils feature now exposes OVSDB Util APIs to make it easier for consumer projects to reuse OVSDB utils.
