Ever since we switched to requiring a leaf node body to be a non-null reference, this does not really work, as evidenced by <a href="https://jira.opendaylight.org/browse/NETCONF-833" title="Leaf Node cannot be deleted inside NETCONF device via RESTCONF" class="issue-link" data-issue-key="NETCONF-833"><del>NETCONF-833</del></a>.</p> <p>Deprecate this method for removal, so that users do not get confused by it.</p> YANGTOOLS-1389
